Meet the Coaches

Clutch Batting Cages Training

Coach Chris

Coach Chris Sorenson is the heartbeat of the Colorado Clutch Baseball Program. As Program Head Coach, he’s built more than a baseball club, he’s cultivated a culture where work ethic, character, and competitive fire are non-negotiable. It’s the little things that separate good teams from great ones. Under his leadership, players learn that every rep, every reset, and every hustle play has a purpose.

From the youngest rookies to seasoned dugout leaders, Coach Chris brings an energy that keeps athletes moving, thinking, and evolving. He knows instinct begins with awareness, heel to the sky, shoelaces to the pitcher, and that athleticism grows when players are encouraged to trust their instincts, recover quickly, and compete with everything they’ve got.

Clutch baseball lives at the intersection of effort and joy. Around here, hard work and fun move in sync. Players learn to love the grind as much as the game. It shows how they battle through long at-bats, stay sharp at first without leaning, and deliver in pressure moments with clarity and confidence. Every brilliant read, challenging out, and heads-up play reflects the culture Coach Chris has embedded throughout the program.

What sets him apart isn’t just strategy, it’s connection. He sees how kids think, encourages risk-taking, and celebrates sparks of insight with praise that sticks. He’s part coach, part mentor, part storyteller, and when you feel the moment’s passed, he’ll remind you that that was the definition of Clutch right there.

He doesn’t just build ballplayers. He builds kids who are coachable, confident, and ready to lead, on and off the field. Gratitude, grit, and growth fuel everything Colorado Clutch stands for.

That’s Clutch.

Coach Carson

Coach Carson is the embodiment of what the Colorado Clutch program is all about. A true homegrown leader, he’s played for Coach Chris Sorenson since the age of seven and now brings that same Clutch DNA to the next generation of athletes. From player to coach, Carson’s journey is a testament to the long-game approach that defines the program: start with strong fundamentals, layer in grit, and never stop competing.

Having grown up in the Clutch system, Carson doesn’t just know the drills, he knows why they matter. He’s lived every “reset button,” every “don’t lean, look,” and every moment where effort met execution. That perspective makes him a powerful mentor for young players who see in him both who they are and who they can become.

Coach Carson brings a rare mix of relatability and intensity. He’s walked the same dugout path, faced the same two-strike battles, and heard many of the same sayings that now shape how he teaches. Whether he’s helping a kid square up a fastball or coaching through a base-running read, he brings clarity, confidence, and a deep respect for the game.

What makes Coach Carson stand out isn’t just his baseball IQ, it’s the way he carries forward Coach Chris’s legacy with his own voice. He’s a bridge between generations of Clutch players, proving that the system works when it’s built on trust, accountability, and heart.

He’s not just coaching in the Clutch program. He is the Clutch program.

Coach Aaron

A Colorado native, Coach Aaron Morgan’s love for sports at an early age. At Lutheran High School, he was a three-sport athlete, competing in baseball, basketball, and track—and earned varsity letters in all three. Eventually, he chose to focus fully on baseball, earning both academic and athletic scholarships to play at Colorado Christian University, a Division II program. During his three years there, he played center field and posted a .353 batting average before competing in the Texas Collegiate League in the summer of 2024. Playing for the Lake Charles Gumbeaux Gators, he hit .327 with 32 stolen bases in 28 games, showcasing his 6.32-second 60-yard dash speed at 210 pounds. Following that season, Coach Aaron transferred to Gardner-Webb University, a Division I program, where he finished his college career, earned Dean’s List honors both semesters, and was ranked among the top 20 hitters in the nation at one point.

After college, Coach Aaron had the opportunity to pursue professional baseball but chose instead to focus on his lifelong dream of building his own business and helping others reach their full athletic potential. His journey in strength and conditioning began in high school, when he weighed just 114 pounds as a freshman. Through years of consistent training, discipline, and nutrition, he reached 190 pounds of lean muscle by his senior year. In college, he went on to break multiple all-time lifting records at Colorado Christian University, including a 695-pound deadlift and a 375-pound bench press, earning the Iron Cougar Award while maintaining a 210-pound frame.

Today, Coach Aaron leads Clutch Iron, the strength and performance arm of Colorado Clutch. He specializes in speed and agility development, strength and conditioning, injury prevention, sport-specific performance programming, and mental performance coaching. His experience as a collegiate athlete has shaped his approach to training—blending the science of performance with the mindset of discipline and perseverance.

For Coach Aaron, training goes far beyond the physical. It’s about building confidence, discipline, and resilience—developing not just stronger athletes, but stronger individuals. His mission is to help others become the best version of themselves, both on and off the field.

Coach Aarons faith remains the strength behind his work, shaping how he leads, teaches, and lives—all in the Glory of God.
